ReThinking Freedom: Poster Session

What does the use of AI mean for our freedom, and how does it impact everyone? This year’s competition finalists will present their ideas to our expert jury and the audience. May the best one win!

The finalists of this years’ competition “Rethinking Freedom” will present their posters and project ideas to the jury on 1 November 2024 between 14:00 and 15:00. After a jury discussion, the winner will be announced at 16:00.

Jury members:

  • Johanna Sieben, Director of the Cluster “Public Sector & Engagement”, Falling Walls Foundation,
  • Dr. Aljoscha Burchardt, expert in language technology and artificial intelligence, Principal Researcher, Research Fellow and deputy spokesperson of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Berlin,
  • Katja Anclam, AI-Strategist, Managing Director of the German Institute for Good Life (difgl), Executive of female.vision e.V. 
  • Gerrit Rößler, International Affairs and Science Communication, Berlin Senate Department for Higher Education and Research, Health and Long-Term Care,
  • Katy Gaffney, winner of the 2023 competition, Data Scientist & Machine Learning Engineer, and Bengisu Berispek, finalist of the 2021 competition and founder of the Sustain.ALL Labs at TU Berlin

Don’t miss the winner’s presentation at Speakers’ Corner on 2 November at 13:00!

A contact person from K.I.E.Z. will be on hand to provide advice and answer questions on the sustainable development of the project ideas presented with the help of the universities' transfer centers.
