JOIN THE CITY-WIDE PROGRAMME
Bring science to the city – on your own terms.
Take part in Berlin Science Week’s City-Wide Programme with a self-organised event between 1–10 November 2025. Whether it’s a panel discussion, walking tour, live podcast, exhibition or performance, we welcome all formats that spark dialogue and engagement around science. In line with this year’s theme BEYOND NOW, we especially encourage ideas that explore new perspectives and challenge the present. Choose your own location, reach new audiences, and become part of a city-wide celebration of science.
Registration is open from 6 May to 31 July 2025.

JOIN BERLIN SCIENCE WEEK!
1 – 10 November 2025
Berlin Science Week attracts a diverse, mostly adult audience: from scientists and researchers to curious minds with a keen interest in science, society, and culture.
They value expert input, enjoy creative and engaging formats, and appreciate the chance to experience science in new and sometimes unconventional ways. With over 35,000 visitors, the festival offers a space for open dialogue and fresh perspectives.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Participation is open to science-driven organisations, research institutions, universities, and cultural initiatives, working at the intersection of science and society.
To be part of the City-Wide Programme, your event should reflect our mission: high scientific quality, societal relevance, and an engaging format that offers space for diverse voices. We encourage low-threshold participation and a welcoming atmosphere that makes science accessible to all.
There’s no participation fee, but you’ll be responsible for planning and running your event. No formal contract is required, but by registering, you confirm your intention to carry out the event as proposed. All proposals that align with our Guiding Principles and demonstrate feasibility will be included in the official programme. Registration is open from 6 May to 31 July 2025.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT
All registered events will have a dedicated event page on our website and will be part of our official communication campaign. Your event will also be featured in our printed festival magazine, created in collaboration with Der Tagesspiegel. For additional visibility, take a look at our special Tagesspiegel offer.
We’ll support you with free digital and printed marketing materials – both in advance and on site. In return, we ask that you include Berlin Science Week in all related communication for your event.
