Simran Sunil Gurdasani

Simran Gurdasani, an Indian physicist, recently completed her PhD at the University of Freiburg and is now based at DESY in Zeuthen. Born and raised in Dubai, she pursued her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in the United States. Her research spans various disciplines, including biophysics and mathematics, before focusing on experimental particle physics at CERN. Simran has played a key role in assembling and operating detectors for the ATLAS and CMS experiments. 

She is passionate about discovering new physics phenomena and applying machine learning to deepen our understanding of the universe. Simran is also dedicated to sustainability, co-authoring studies to reduce the carbon footprint of high-energy physics research.
