Lorenzo is a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam, where he has been working under the supervision of Prof. Alessandra Buonanno since 2021. His research focuses on developing accurate models of the gravitational waves emitted by binary black hole systems and analyzing data from current gravitational-wave detectors, such as LIGO, Virgo, and KAGRA. He is particularly interested in exploring whether Einstein's theory of General Relativity fully explains all observable gravitational phenomena in the Universe. Originally from Perugia, Italy, Lorenzo completed his undergraduate studies in Physics and earned a Master’s in Theoretical Physics at the University of Perugia.
