Berlin, 7 May 2025 — Berlin Science Week marks a milestone: its 10th edition will take place from 1 to 10 November 2025 under the theme BEYOND NOW.
As Berlin Science Week marks its 10th anniversary, we look not back, but forward. In a time of rapid transformation, we turn to science for guidance and inspiration. We ask: how can science help us break through the escalating urgencies of the present and open new perspectives for the future?
BEYOND NOW invites us to shift focus from what is breaking down to what could be built up — positioning science as a tool for shared agency and new alliances.
Call for Participation
From 7 May to 31 July, Berlin Science Week invites science organisations, cultural institutions, and initiatives working at the intersection of science and society to submit proposals. Contributions can take place as part of the City-Wide Programme or at the Festival Hubs. Two of Berlin’s iconic venues will serve as the festival's central hubs:
- On 1– 2 November, the Museum für Naturkunde will open its doors as the festival hub “CAMPUS”, focussing on participatory science communication formats.
- On 7 – 9 November, Holzmarkt25 will transform into the festival hub “FORUM”, highlighting events that bridge science, art, and society.
Across all forms of participation, Berlin Science Week welcomes and encourages transdisciplinary, engaging, dialogue-based approaches and event formats. The final programme will be released in September. Details on how to participate can be found here: https://berlinscienceweek.com/call-participation.
New in 2025: The Inspiration Stage
Celebrating a decade of Berlin Science Week, the festival is launching the new Inspiration Stage at the CAMPUS Hub. The stage offers early-career researchers the opportunity to present their research through dynamic talks to a general audience.
